Dynamic conversion of 5250 screens

All conversions below are dynamically realized by MINOS Web.

No modification of your existing iSeries necessary (no DDS modification, no recompilation).

Use of the mouse or classic keyboard entry generate the same return to the iSeries.

The function keys are transformed to a toolbar:

Click on an icon triggers the concerned key.
When the mouse pointer is moved over an icon, a tooltip appears (example : ).
The menu options are transformed to hypertext links.

When the mouse pointer is moved over a link, a tooltip appears.
The sub-file options are transformed to click buttons.
Multi-window is entirely supported and the windows size can be adjusted.

Paging is done using right / left mouse click (End, Continue, + ) on the buttons:

MINOS Web allows to assign a color for the display of each color attribute 5250.

This allows the use of themes and the customization by the users.

Customization by the user

Customization can be done by the users. All configurations done by the users are saved on the iSeries server.

The administrator of the iSeries server can:

Forbid all or parts of the possibilities for user customization

Delete, copy, duplicate the user customization

Possible customizations are:

Selection of theme use.

Modification of the display theme:

Selection of color theme use

Or customization:

Image or color for screen background

Text color and color, image, background type of the fields (by color attribute 5250)
